2021Answering Plagiarism the Right Way
Australian rules football team, Port Adelaide FC, had recently held a contest for high school students to design a special Indigenous guernsey (jersey, kit, whatever you want to call it) for a match against Fremantle on May 30. After selecting and announcing the winner (a 17-year-old student who presented the work as her own at a press conference), the artist behind the original artwork undoubtedly demonstrated the artwork was stolen. Port Adelaide acknowledged the issue and went on another promotional junket to properly credit the original artist.
