Ennion Brand

Currently on view through April 15 at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is an exhibition focusing on the work of Ennion, considered the greatest glassmaker of ancient Rome and producer of possibly the earliest branded consumer product in history. All of this pieces created between 1 to 50 A.D. carried his “signature”, which read “Ennion made me” inside a recognizable holding shape he used over and over.
