1900MODERN BROOCH
A probable modern copper alloy bow tie shaped brooch with splayed of V-shaped ends which bear traces of being enamelled or painted. It has a central rounded knop - or representation of the 'tie' in a bow tie. There are raised geometric patterns radiating from the centre on each side being cells for enamels, traces of which remain however the colours have degraded but may have been red and yellow. The reverse has an integral broken catchplate and pin lug but no pin. The design bares a strong resemblance to an Art Deco design.
