A fairly random collection of things to see today, with work from Porto, Athens, and Melbourne. Also, today’s Friday Likes are brought to you by the word “Studio”. Studio8 by Yucca Studio & Mecha Studio Studio8 is an architecture and material design lab in Porto, Portugal, working on both architectural projects and in developing new materials like reusing inert construction and demolition waste. Designed in collaboration by local firms Yucca Studio & Mecha Studio, the identity revolves around a minimalist and clever wordmark that integrates “studio” and “8” into a single graphic with the “o” doubling as the “8” through a simple move of using a second “o”. I really like how the “8” can be constructed by putting the second “o” above or below the main “o” for a little variety. T
