After a two-week hiatus, Friday Likes is back with some funky hand-drawn lettering leading the way for each of the projects this week from Vancouver, Portland, and Rotterdam. Selene by Glasfurd & Walker Selene is a bistro in Vancouver, BC, offering aegean cuisine (a blend of Turkish and Greek). Named after the Greek goddess of the moon, the identity, designed by local firm Glasfurd & Walker (who also gave the restaurant its name), “ties the moon, the sea, and the tides” through an unconventional wordmark that straddles the line between fairy tale and fantasy and a charming rendition of a crescent moon drawn by tattoo artist en.terra, giving the restaurant an ethereal, magical presence that avoids any kind of trend.
