2023IBM Appreciation Post
Can we take a moment to appreciate this “thing”? It’s the IBM Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair (1964-1965) designed in collaboration by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, featuring 3,000 molded-plastic letters composing the 58-by-89-by-115-feet ovoid structure reportedly inspired by the typing ball in the IBM Selectric typewriter. The whole thing was a full-on brand flex.
