Here is Hara Design Institute’s proposal for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics created pre-contest, pre-selection of the now-removed logo. Perhaps they didn’t get the job because they couldn’t get the year right? It’s 2020, not 2200. The wrong year and missing Olympic rings are on purpose to be able to show the work without angering the IOC (too much).
