During the month of May, Audible is hosting a pop-up experience called Audible Story House, a bookless bookstore in a 6,000-square-foot, three-floor space in New York where “audio storytelling comes to life, offering a physical way to experience audio content beyond digital listening”. While it’s ever so slightly pretentious and obnoxious — it’s just audio books, guys — it actually looks like Audible put some effort and thought into it beyond it just being a place to give customers free matcha and rope them into a subscription.
