New Identity for Prague Sounds by Studio Najbrt
Established in 1996 as Strings of Autumn, Prague Sounds (as it was renamed in 2022) is one of the Czech Republic’s major, annual music events. Originally founded under the Czech Republic’s President, Vaclav Havel, and his office, the event was hosted at Prague Castle — the official residence and workplace of the sitting president — until 2004 when it moved out of the castle and into various venues in the city. With Marek Vrabec and Martin Pechanec as its founding music directors, Prague Sounds offers a wide-ranging and eclectic programming that ranges from contemporary classical to jazz, hip-hop, and electronica and has hosted artists like Nils Frahm, De La Soul, Herbie Hancock, Yo-Yo Ma, Wayne Shorter, and more.
