Established in 1983, Forskningsrådet (The Research Council of Norway in English) is a government agency that funds the best research and innovation projects, investing NOK 10 billion (nearly 1 billion dollars) annually. Governed by the Ministry of Education and Research, the council is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and employs more than 450 people.
