New Logo and Identity for Gage & Tollner by Order
Originally founded in 1879, Gage & Tollner is an oyster and chop house restaurant in downtown Brooklyn, NY. It was a landmark in the Brooklyn dining scene — the type where waiters wore tuxedos and the kind that we call white-tablecloth restaurants now for — for over a century and after passing through several owners, the restaurant closed its doors in 2004. The prime retail location, though, was host to a number of other businesses including a clothing store, a TGI Fridays, and most sadly, an Arby’s. In 2014, chef Sohui Kim and restauranteurs Ben Schneider and St. John Frizell partnered to start a crowdfunding campaign to revive the restaurant, raising $484,091 and in 2016 they began work on it. As a landmark-designated building, the historic original interiors had been kept intact all
