Not My Type
This isn’t branding-related but it marks the end of an era for many of us in the business and how we got stuff done. As Type Network reports, “This month, Adobe is shipping several application updates which remove support for the original PostScript font format known as Type 1”. I am assuming the majority of our readers came into the business working with OpenType files and a few others have never fully dealt with font files given the prevalence of Adobe Fonts syncing with your applications but there was once a time when getting a font to open required surgical precision of having the right file in the right place for the right purpose.
