Sticker Shock

TIL about the “Del Monte Note”. A 1996 $20 bill with a Del Monte banana sticker with part of the seal and serial numbers printed on top of it during production at the Fort Worth U.S. Treasury Department print facility and sold at auction for $396,000 in 2021. The speculation of how the sticker ended up on the bill and the whole story of it, at the link, is kind of great.
