
Daphnis
Costume for Anton Dolin as Daphnis in the revised production of Mikhail Fokine's production of Daphnis et Chloe to music by Maurice Ravel, first performed at Monte Carlo, 1 January 1924. It appears that the original1912 production re-used Narcisse's costume for Daphnis, giving the need for a new costume for the revival. This is a 1920s 'art deco' interpretation of the original costume. The new production reused costumes from 1911, designed by Bakst, although Chloe now wore the 1913 revised costume originally created for Likenion.
