1930Ring
Sibyl Dunlop (1889-1968) was a jewellery and silver designer with a workshop and showroom on Kensington Church Street, London. This ring from about 1930 illustrates her flair for combining stones of vivid colours, and it unites the Arts and Crafts Movement’s love of unfaceted stones with the geometric lines of Art Deco.
Ring · England · ca. 1930. Silver set with amethyst, green-stained chalcedony, invisibly set square rubies, sapphire and yellow-stained chalcedony. By Dunlop, Sibyl. Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
