1924Plaque
The ‘Adam’ and ‘Eve’ plaques, modelled by Anna Zinkeisen (1901–1976), were awarded a silver medal at the Paris Exhibition of 1925. Wedgwood began to commission Zinkeisen while she was still a student at the Royal Academy Schools. These plaques and her other designs, ‘Sun’ and ‘Wind’, capture the nascent Art Deco style in jasper, and were produced in blue and white, black and white, and green and white.
