Wikimedia Brand Stewardship Report

The Wikimedia Foundation has published a very thorough report on the current state of its many brands — there are currently over 2,500 registrations for Wikimedia-related trademarks in over 110 jurisdictions — with the goal of “providing additional insight into our approach to stewarding the brands of a global movement of free knowledge communities and projects”. The report is quite interesting but it’s kind of a shame how poorly designed most of these logos are and how detrimental the lack of cohesiveness is, with each entity sounding and looking completely independent from each other.
