Enrique Alferez 1930s sculpture "Fountain of the Winds", detail, Lakefront Airport, New Orleans The fountain is dry and flood silted after Hurricane Katrina . Some time after the fountain was debuted, the male figure had its genitalia vandalized by a prude. Decades later Alferez, in his old age, restored the fountain. He said he made a point to make the genitalia larger than they had been originally to spite the spirit of the vandal.
