A Game of Chicken

I usually cringe when someone criticizes a logo by saying “Is this an April Fools joke?” but that was my guttural reaction to this and I even made sure that the press release had a current date because this feels like a prank or stunt, like when IHOP said it would change its name to IHOB (International House of Burgers), because Long John Silver’s has always equated to one thing: Fish. Apparently, their chicken offering is doing so well — or its fish offering doing so bad — that a drawing of a chicken has replaced the fish. No internet outrage yet.
