Clear Eyes, Full Heart, Can't Moose!

Making yet another appearance for the same reason, mega-gas-station and market, Buc-ee’s, is now out to get Mickey’s, a fuel and convenience store chain with 42 locations in North Central Ohio. The legal scuffle began in June of 2025 when Mickey’s applied for a trademark to a revised logo featuring only the moose’s head inside a red hexagon and Buc-ee’s opposed it claiming that the similarity between the logos “is likely to cause confusion among consumers”. Mickey’s already had a trademark from 2020 for a more elaborate version of its logo, which Buc-ee’s wants rescinded too. The scuffle also coincides with Buc-ee’s opening its first Ohio location later this year.
