Dora 2.0

After a 10-year hiatus, Dora the Explorer returns to TV on Paramount+ in full-fledged 3D and, reportedly, more Spanish than before. Kathleen Herles, who voiced the original Dora, is back but now as Dora’s mom, with the title character voiced by Diana Zermeño. The new youthful aesthetic makes sense but the old Dora — disclaimer: I probably watched all 177 original episodes as a young parent — was literally iconic in her own minimalist way, from the haircut to the eyes to her clothes while the new one looks just any other kids show.
