No minimalism, elegance, or restraint this week, with work so extra from Beijing, St. Petersburg, and Milan. Shroom Forest by loof.design Shroom Forest is a scented candle studio founded by artist Ziyuan in New York, NY. All candles are shaped like mushrooms, although some like habanero peppers but not that the discrepancy matters because it’s all bonkers anyway, with scents like berry and hemp, cannabis and agarwood, or bayberry and fir wreath. The identity, designed by Beijing, China-based loof.design, matches the idiosyncrasy and psychedelia premise of the products with an utterly groovy mushroom logo that can be deconstructed into mushroom, wax, and forest icons (see project link).
