No particular connecting thread this week either other than, perhaps, some thin letterforms and icons with work from New York, Basel, and Barcelona. Spoiled Parrot by Mucca Spoiled Parrot is a confectionery and ice cream shop inside the new Tin Building by Jean-Georges in New York, NY. As you might remember from the Reviewed post a couple of months ago, all of the establishments within the food market used the same typeface as a starting point but Spoiled Parrot, also designed by Mucca, was given the opportunity to spread its wings and fly. (Sorry, that was a cheesy metaphor.) Leading the way is a beautiful script wordmark with some sharp, straight calligraphic strokes and set at an angle so that the stems end vertically straight.
