Some simple yet playful logos for a wide variety of clients this week, with work from Vancouver and Toronto, Istanbul, and Barcelona. 1 Mill Road by Tomorrow 1 Mill Road is a winery that produces “thoughtful, handcrafted wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay”, based in the village of Naramata, British Columbia, on the shore of Lake Okanagan. The identity, designed by Vancouver and Toronto-based Tomorrow, takes a sophisticated approach with a minimalist logo that simply spells out “1 MILL ROAD” in a geometric sans serif but has the subtle yet very satisfying detail of the “1” being formed from half of the “M”. I don’t know why but that move brings me so much joy and it looks particularly good in the shorthand “1MR” version of the logo. On the labels, there is another subtle detail also
