Some very different typographic approaches spanning food and fashion this week, with work from Los Angeles, Copenhagen, and Mexico City. Bub & Grandma’s by Club Bub & Grandma’s is a well-known and beloved supplier of hand-baked bread for restaurants around Los Angeles, CA, also selling it retail at a couple of farmer’s markets and have recently opened a restaurant dishing toasts, pastries, and coffee. The identity, designed by local firm Club, is inspired by owner Andy Kadin’s New Jersey roots and love for its diners and is influenced by “diner nostalgia and California effortlessness”, which yields a Venn diagram of lovely typography at its center.
