Game Over

Last week, the popular headwear company, New Era, released a Major League Baseball cap collection nicknamed “Overlap” because it overlaps each team’s monogram on top of the team’s full wordmark. A good idea on paper perhaps but once applied systematically, some results were… not ideal. The most egregious overlap was for the Texas Rangers that when the monogram “T” was placed directly in the center and middle on top of the full name, it spelled out “TETAS”, which means “tits” in Spanish. The caps were pulled off the market but eBay has some if you really wantit.
