Hail to the Design Chief

In other job openings news, the previously announced position of Chief Design Officer for the United States’ National Design Studio has been filled by Joe Gebbia, who co-founded Airbnb (and is now on the board of directors of the company but has not been involved in its operations since 2022) and who had previously joined the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in February of this year with the goal of “improving the slow and paper-based retirement process”. He was appointed as CDO by Trump on August 23.
