2024Highway to No Royalties
Spanish newspaper El País talks to Gerard Huerta, who designed the famous AC/DC logo for the band’s 1977 album, Let There Be Rock. Huerta, 25 years old at the time, did not establish any usage limitations and while he got paid a fee, the potential royalties, unimaginable at the time, given how much the band has used the logo, would have been astronomical. Now 71, Huerta is not bitter and acknowledges how much other work he was commissioned to do over the years based on having done the AC/DC logo.
