Fred Seibert, who served as the first creative director for MTV and helped launched the channel has put together and self-published “The Art of MTV – The MTV: Music Television Logo August 1, 1981-February 8, 2010”, a book chronicling the origin of the MTV logo and the hundreds of permutations that eventually garnered it entry into the elite canon of design.
