Jerry West (1938 – 2024)

NBA Hall of Famer Jerry West passed away earlier this week. His legacy lives on in the NBA’s logo despite decades of people questioning, denying, confirming, and all other forms of confusion-enhancing statements of whether the logo was based on Jerry West or not. Regardless, the NBA icon is one of the most powerful and valuable in sports, business, and entertainment — hopefully it will be one of the few logos to never change.
