Ian Paget, aka Logo Geek, has published a 330-page book called Make a Living Designing Logos, full of personal advice and approaches that have worked for him. It’s a great book for beginners, covering a lot of things that are usually learned the hard way on the job. There is some extra information on the book’s original Kickstarter page.
