New Logo and Identity for Royal National Institute for Deaf People by SomeOne
Established in 1911, the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) is a charity working to “make life fully inclusive” for the 1 in 5 adults who are deaf or have hearing loss and the 1 in 8 who have tinnitus in the UK. RNID campaigns for an inclusive society, connects people to practical advice, and researches new treatments for hearing loss and tinnitus. Originally founded as The National Bureau for Promoting the General Welfare of the Deaf, then named Royal National Institute for the Deaf in 1961, the charity changed its name in 2011 to Action on Hearing Loss but recent research suggested the old name was more popular and more trusted and that the current name and brand “did not reflect the charity’s history or communicate the amazing work we do”.
