UND Sketches Protected by Attorney General

The University of North Dakota athletics department dropped its Fighting Sioux name and logo last year, introducing a hawk-ND combo designed by SME that was met, natch, with heavy controversy. A request (not sure by who) was made to release the early rounds of logo options (close to 50) done by SME, which both UND and SME refused to do so, and they were recently supported by an Attorney General citing the sketches as being "protected as a trade secret". That’s a win in terms of protecting ideas.
