A ’soft Spot for the ’70s

During this year’s Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference in Seattle this week, the company set up a “one-time, immersive installation thoughtfully designed to evoke the brand’s earliest identity and physical origins — complete with iconic ’70s style wood-paneled walls, shag carpeting, and faithful recreations of original typography, color palettes, and vintage hardware, including the Altair 8800, Microsoft’s first-ever product” created in partnership by Assembly and m ss ng p eces.
