Brand New Conference, an Ode to SF "Brands" (Help)

For the Brand New Conference we will be designing a nice commemorative poster and our idea is to do an infographic-ish ode to San Francisco-based brands, logos, identities, designers, etc. We need your help with things to include. So a few examples of what we are looking for: 1) Brands born in SF: Gap, Levi, Gymboree, Chronicle Books, Ghirardelli, Digg, Craigslist, etc. 2) SF “icons” (loose): Grateful Dead, McSweeney’s, Golden Gate Bridge, sea lions by Pier 39, etc. 3) SF designers and firms: Walter Landor, Pentagram, IDEO, Office, etc. 4) SF design secrets: Pirate Supply Store, and need help from locals. 5) Anything else!
