Some unusual selections this week with work from Barcelona, Glasgow, and Barcelona again. IV Centenary of the death of Cervantes by Mucho To commemorate the 4th centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra — he of Don Quixote-writing fame — the Spanish government has established a national committee under a royal decree that will oversee the commemoration of the author. As soon as I saw the logo designed by the Barcelona office of Mucho I understood what it was, not because I am that smart but because the image of Cervantes wearing his neck ruff is so iconic. The “C” monogram is beautifully done and a perfect trigger for the sixteenth/seventeenth-century times of Cervantes when ruff was a hot thing. Not much in application but the logo alone is worth a spo
