Lots of textural work this week, with projects from Fort Worth, San José, and São Luís. BLK EYE Vodka by GCG Marketing BLK EYE Vodka is a vodka made from black-eyed peas — the only one of its kind in the world, apparently — by BlackEyed Distilling Co. in Fort Worth, TX, made with big Texas spirit and presented with big Texas confidence. While the packaging is okay, all the materials, designed by local firm GCG Marketing, are what stood out and while much of it operates within tried-and-true hip graphic mannerisms, it all comes together quite nicely and convincingly to establish a renegade-light aesthetic for the vodka.
