This week’s texture-rich projects are brought to you by letter “V” with work from Macau, Brooklyn, and Barcelona. Vah Thai by Indego Design Vah Thai — full name Estabelecimento de Comidas Vah Thai (“Establishment of Foods Vah Thai” in English) — is a small restaurant in Macau, China, that has been serving Thai style boat noodles since 1988. Recently renovated, the restaurant reopened with a new identity designed by local firm Indego Design that features some delightful illustrations; a tight color palette of red, blue, gold, and tan; and a healthy serving of typography combining English, Thai, and Chinese; all yielding an amazingly rich texture to every application — a feeling enhanced by the use of Risograph printing in some of them.
