Some heavy deadpan sans serif usage this week, plus a few twists and turns, with work from Seoul, Seattle, and Brooklyn. Here Coffee by FFX Here Coffee is a coffee shop and roaster in Seoul, South Korea. The identity, designed by local firm FFX, is annoyingly good given how minimalist it is and how effortless it looks using what are basically only three elements: a mirrored droplet-slash-map-pin icon, a sans serif wordmark, and the same sans serif for all the typography. All in black and white, no less. Part of what makes this work so well, aside from how flawless all the typesetting is, are the physical objects like the mug and napkin holder that are unique in their own right.
