Three very different eateries from around the world with very different identities are served up this week, with work from Mexico City, Melbourne, and Istanbul. Pizzería della Madonna by FAENA Studio Pizzería della Madonna is a relatively upscale pizza restaurant in Mexico City, offering a pretty slick space for a sit-down dinner (as opposed to your typical small joint made for quick pick-ups). The identity, designed by local firm FAENA Studio, is inspired in part by the architecture of cathedrals and churches — their columns, arches, and structures — along with some 1970s vibes. In its primary state, the geometric, rounded sans serif wordmark features a very heavy top that is reminiscent of the arched passageways that surround many plazas and squares around the world but at the same time
