Some bold and colorful packaging this week, with work from Buenos Aires, London and Bournemouth, and Shenzhen. Xochi by Kinoto Studio Xochi, available in retailers in Texas and California, is an all-natural, prebiotic, agave soda made from the plant’s sweet, nutrient-rich, unfermented sap, known as “aguamiel” (honey water). The packaging, designed by Buenos Aires, Argentina-based Kinoto Studio, captures the exuberance of Mexican vernacular with an eccentric collection of typefaces — Unit Gothic, Music Nouveau, El Grosa Round, and Cooper Nouveau, to name a few — and fun, arched and vertical typographic arrangements.
