Plenty of soft colors, strong ideas, and animated logos this Friday with work from Sommerville, Stockholm, and Milan. Lafayette by Oat Located in downtown Manhattan, with interiors by Roman and Williams, Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery needed a sexy industrial identity to match the location, restaurant’s look, and French cuisine. Sommerville, MA-based Oat baked up a sophisticated white and blue identity centered around a lovely, custom-drawn script logo — that “ye” connection is like dipping a croissant into a cup of hot chocolate.
