Mr.y Soda is Back

The Coca‑Cola Company is relaunching Mr. Pibb after a 24-year hiatus and, no, I am not counting its renaming in 2001 to Mr. Pibb Xtra that changed whatever the hell magic potion the original Mr. Pibb, introduced in 1972, was. Whenever I visited the U.S. from Mexico as a kid, Mr. Pibb was my go-to soda — it tasted unlike anything else. Now Mr. Pibb Xtra is being discontinued as the original name (and a new recipe) start to roll out across the U.S.. Sadly, the new cans pale in comparison to the 1980s versions.
