New Identity for SK Rapid Vienna by Beyer Görges
Founded in 1897 as the Erster Wiener Arbeiter-Fußball-Club (First Viennese Workers’ Football Club) and arriving at their current and much snappier name in 1899, Sportklub Rapid Vienna is among Austria’s oldest active football clubs. The club has seen a variety of changes over the past 126 years while firmly planting their feet in the Hütteldorf neighborhood of Vienna, playing at Gerhard Hanappi Stadium from 1977 through 2014 before moving to the Allianz Stadion in 2016. With 32 Austrian championship titles, they are the top titleholding team in the country and have maintained a record of wins that have continued unhindered through both world wars and a Nazi occupation. This most recent refresh comes courtesy of Dortmund, Germany-based Beyer Görges, who developed a new identity
