Established in 1902, Cadillac is a brand of luxury, high-end vehicles and one of the first automotive brands in the world. Named after Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac — who founded Fort Pontchartrain du Détroit in 1701, which later became the city of Detroit, MI, which later would become the car-making capital of the U.S. — Cadillac is owned by American automobile manufacturer General Motors Company.
