New Logo and Identity for Toledo Museum of Art by Scorpion Rose Studio and Semi:Formal
Established in 1901, the Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) is, as its name implies, an art museum located in Toledo, OH. It was founded by glassmaker Edward Drummond Libbey, regarded as the father of the glass industry in Toledo, OH (and founder of Libbey Glass). While most international (and even national readers) might not expect Toledo, OH, to be home to one of the top-ranked museums in the country, TMA is a pleasant surprise with a collection of more than 30,000 objects that include treasures from ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome; paintings by Old Masters like El Greco, Rubens, Rembrandt, Gainsborough and Turner; decorative arts, African and Asian art; and works by modern masters as Matisse, Picasso, Hopper, and Nevelson. The museum also holds one of the principal collections of glass art and g
