New Logo and Retail Look for Sbarro by Sterling Rice Group

Established in 1956 as a salumeria in Brooklyn, NY, by a couple of Italian immigrants (last-named Sbarro), Sbarro is a quick-service restaurant offering New York style pizza, pasta, and salad at more than 800 locations in a staggering 33 countries. Most of its locations so far can be found in shopping malls and airports. Despite being one of the largest single-slice flingers, Sbarro has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy twice this century but now, like Michael Jordan, it’s making a second comeback. Since the start of the year Sbarro has been remodeling locations around the world and this September announced its first standalone restaurant in Columbus, OH, where they are headquartered along with the formal introduction of a new logo.
