Introduced in 1958, Jet-Puffed is a brand of marshmallows produced by KraftHeinz (under the Kraft brand name). It gets its name from the innovation in the early 1950s by Alex Doumak who “developed a process called extrusion that forced marshmallow mixture through metal tubes, shaping it into long ropes that were then cut to uniform size” — because the process “subjects marshmallow mixture to gas blasts at 200 pounds per square inch”, Kraft promoted the product, which was named just Kraft Marshmallows, as being jet-puffed and so the brand claim eventually became the brand name. Being a KraftHeinz brand, it’s one of the most well-known and top-selling marshmallow products and, as a huge — HUGE — marshmallow fan myself, I am pretty okay with their taste and textu
