New Packaging for Penny Price Packs by Serviceplan
Established in 1973, PENNY is a German discount supermarket chain with more than 3,000 retail locations in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Romania. With a strong focus on offering products at the most affordable prices — whether it’s well-known brands or their own private label brands — Penny recently introduced its biggest commitment to the lowest price by printing the price directly on the packaging of a select range of basic goods that includes toast, salt, oats, chips, and mayonnaise under the moniker of Price Packs. With many supermarkets doing variable pricing that can increase at any given moment, Price Packs are a long-term commitment to that price given how long it takes to produce this packaging at scale and the lead-up time needed to roll it out.
