Interesting bit of trivia: The Green Bay Packers "G" logo was introduced in 1961, the Georgia Bulldogs very similar logo in 1963, and the Grambling State Tigers equally similar in 1964. A clear case of plagiarism, right? Wrong. Both Georgia and Grambling State asked the Packers for permission to use a similar logo and they granted it. I doubt such willingness to share logos would happen today.
